Community logo RGB HRWe have had another fantastic Community Day here at Banister School!

Our annual Community Day was amazing, with more parents than ever coming to support the community and to try new things with their children. Each child wore traditional clothes or colours to represent their countries, and they were spectacular!

This year we started Community Day with each year group taking it in turns to do a performance on the stage. We had singing, dancing and even a play! Well done to everyone for their hard work and for showing us all what you can do. Following those awesome performances, our Street Dance after school club took center stage to show us what they have been doing… we have some very talented dancers! We were then joined for a ukulele performance and a choir performance which were fantastic to see!

We had amazing activities and workshops going on all around the school, including:

  • Street Dance
  • Handwriting from around the world
  • Rangoli art
  • Samba drumming
  • Hook a duck
  • Beat the goalie
  • Pirate bouncy castle
  • Coconut shy
  • The Imagination Playground
  • Glitter tattoos
  • Welly tossing

There was so much to do and each child had an activity card to show what they had done!

As well as awesome activities we had lots of food! Our fantastic parents made a variety of dishes from across the globe for us all to try… DELICIOUS! The ice cream bike was also very popular!

A huge thank you to the Banister PFA and all of you who attended, we had an amazing day!
