The Curriculum

At Banister, we organise our curriculum into topics chosen to engage and motivate our children as well as addressing the areas set out by the National Curriculum.  As an inner city school, we try to make the most of the city around us and wherever possible we organise trips and visits to enhance our learning.

We believe it is important to ensure that the curriculum is taught well but in an enjoyable way. Our teachers aim to make lessons fun and informative, something many of our children would agree is important to them! By using the national guidelines, we challenge our students to make the most of their time learning, constantly giving them opportunities to improve and grow.
